She put her gun back in its holster and made her way over to sit down next him, her back resting against the wall, "You weren't too bad, I suppose," she agreed teasingly before she sobered slightly, "... have you run into any of the others?" she asked quietly. She dearly missed Jean, Breda and Fury. Not knowing where they were was almost as hard as not knowing about Roy and Rebecca.

Roy smirked at that one, though it dropped quickly. "No I haven't seen any of them, but I'm not going to assume they are dead until I see evidence to back it up. I learned that making such assumptions are quite stupid fairly recently.

Riza smiled and huffed softly in laughter, "I guess you're right," she answered quietly. She glanced out the window, checking their surroundings merely out of habit, and was relieved to see nothing. She looked back at Roy and sighed before looking down at her hands, "...I'm honestly not sure what I'm supposed to be doing," she admitted, "I told myself I was searching for you, for Rebecca, for... anybody, but... what I was going to do after that... survive? Maybe... but to what purpose?" she wondered aloud. She'd honestly spent hours wondering if it was worth living, or if she should bury her father's terrible secrets once and for all.

"We survive to live to see a better tomorrow, and we keep going for the ones we love to honor their memories. You're not giving up on me now are you Lieutenant?" Roy asked his tone mixed with trying to be comforting, but serious as well. There was no possible way he was going to let her sink into despair now that he had finally found her.

Riza looked up at him. She'd missed his optimism and endless drive, even if she sometimes thought him foolish, he always seemed to have a goal. She sighed before she shook her head, "No sir," she answered softly. Without the goal of overthrowing the Fuhrer being a constant focus, she'd been at a loss as to what her purpose really was. Without fighting as a soldier, she was no longer sure of what to do. If sometimes felt like killing and planning to kill were the only things she truly excelled at. But, now that she had him to protect once more... maybe she could ignore those other questions for now.

Roy gave a smile. "That's much better. I know you don't want to end up in another fight, but I think in this case we actually might have to. Only instead of fighting for only our country we'll be fighting for the whole world. However we don't kill unless we have to, and we don't lose sight of what we are trying to achieve."

Riza sighed and nodded. She knew it was far too late to decide that killing was too heavy of a burden to carry. She looked down at her hands, already knowing the blood covering them could never be washed off, but she'd at least hoped to not have to add more to the deluge. She knew well that she'd chosen this path on her own terms, and that she would yet again, but not having to fight for a cause had been such a relief. She hadn't really known what to do with herself, but it was as if a huge weight had been temporarily lifted from her shoulders... and now it all came crashing back down on her. "Where do we start?" she asked wearily, mentally preparing herself for the toll of yet another war.
