Kida made her way back to the old theater, looking for the man who'd just recently joined. He seemed a little less closed off than some of the others and she was hoping to make some actual headway.

"Looking for someone miss?" Roy asked leaning against one of the walls. True he seemed laid back, but didn't let his guard down very often, though it didn't mean who would ignore anybody. After all allies had to trust each other to get anywhere.

Kida looked up sharply and regarded him with carefully guarded interest, "Actually, yes. You're one of the only ones I haven't spoken with, and it doesn't sit well with me to have supposed allies that I don't even know," she answered honestly.

"I can agree with that statement. I perfer to know my compatriots before fighting beside them as well." Roy stood back up holding out one of his gloved hands for a handshake. "Roy Mustang." He said in introduction not bothering to put his military title figuring that it didn't matter anymore, and the woman wouldn't recognize it anyway.

Kida eyed his hand in confusion for a minute before remembering that it was a way people in some cultures introduced themselves. She awkwardly took his gloved hand in hers and looked him in the eye, "Kidagakash Nedakh," she answered simply. She couldn't quite remember what happened after she took his hand, so she stood there looking at him and wondering if it was considered rude if she let go first.

Roy paused for a second hearing her name as he let go of the handshake. "No offense, but do you have a nickname or something shorter you go by. I'd hate to offend you by pronouncing it wrong." He explained with a slightly embarrassed expression.

Kida was about to respond that he better learn it then, but she paused and instead answered, "Most people call me Kida." She didn't mind her people affectionately calling her 'Kida', because they knew and could easily pronounce her full name. But with outsiders... it always felt like a lack of respect and laziness when they wished for something else to call her by. It hadn't really bothered her before, but... she was starting to think that someday she might insist on being called by her full name, regardless of how uncomfortable it made them.

"Well it's nice to meet you then Kida. I look forward to fighting beside you. Seems like you have some fighting experience, based on the way you carry yourself, and that spear I saw you with earlier. Looked like you knew exactly how to use it." Roy commented figuring it was best to know everybody experience levels, besides he needed to know who would need to be looked after more then the others. He had always been protective of his friends, and this group would hopefully be the same way.

Kida smiled, "I've been training with it for more than a few millenia, I should know what I'm doing by now," she teased with a smirk on her face. Her corded musculature was honed from thousands of years of practice and grueling work. She couldn't afford to like him though, "And you? You have the gait and build of a soldier, as well as the eyes of a killer. What is it you specialize in?" she asked as she openly studied him.

"I've been in a few battles, one war. Called me a 'hero', but I disagreed with the title to say the least. War doesn't have heroes in my opinion." Roy answered his tone more serious. "My specialty though was Flame Alchemy." He responded in answer to her question.

Kida nodded in agreement with his first statement, before she looked up at him in question, "Flame alchemy?" she asked. She'd heard of alchemists, but they were more into metal working and medicine than they were into fire.

"I use these circles to challenge the air around me to create flames." Roy explained holding up one his hands to show Kida the circle on the back of it. "Where I come from there are many alchemist that specialize in different kinds of it." He finished trying his best to explain it to her.

Kida studied the markings on his glove, trying to make sense of it all, but eventually shook her head, "I'm afraid this is beyond me," she admitted with self-effacing grin. She paused before asking for clarification, "You said you used the circles, right? So if you didn't have those gloves, you wouldn't be able to... make fire?"

"Well there are other ways, my gloves are just the easiest and quickest way to do so." Roy explained remembering having to carve the symbols on the back of his hand once. Though that wasn't a memory he really wanted to share with the woman, after all he wasn't going to tell her everything when he had no need to at the moment.

Kida nodded, wondering what other ways he was referring to, but figuring it might be suspicious if she asked for details. "I would love to learn the mechanics of it all sometime," she told him genuinely, the idea of controlling an element as dangerous as fire appealed to her, but she also had her main motive of figuring out how to exploit the weaknesses of the system he employed in mind.

"It'll take a lot of work, and unfortunately I can't teach you Flame Alchemy per say. The one I learned it from only relunctantly taught it to me. It's a little too dangerous and deadly I'm afraid." Roy explained with a small sigh.

Kida nodded her understanding, she would be equally as hesitant with sharing any information about the spiritual power of her people. "I can understand why. Fire is indeed a powerful weapon," she agreed as she remembered the volcanic eruption that almost destroyed her people a second time, and of course fire was Iblis' favorite weapon.

"There is the disadvantage one you want to do good, but you have a weapon of destruction. Though I suppose now fire is found all across the landscape, saw quite a bit of it during my travels. Pure luck I ran into this group." Roy added though he didn't regret joining the Freedom Fighters though he promised not to slip into a revenge driven state of mind this time around. He felt compelled to help them if only to get the world back on the right track again.

Kida merely nodded and studied him, "Yes, it was lucky for me to end up here as well. I wasn't sure when I first met them whether they were Iblis' minions or not," she admitted. "It's interesting to see a group like this claim heroics," she murmured quietly as she looked out over the movie theater.

"Well I suppose everybody has the ability to be 'heroic' if they really want to. I don't care if what I do is considered that, I'm more concerned about the greater good. For that to happen Iblis has to be gone plain and simple." Roy replied his tone switching to a more serious demeanor.
